Bast Goddess of Protection - 5345S

This amulet of protection was inspired by Late Kingdom faience charms.  It shows the face of Bast, "Goddess of Protection." In this role she became Goddess of the rising sun and holder of the utchat, the all seeing eye of Horus which we see here above her head.  She was also the goddess of Motherhood.  On her forehead is the Scarab for a symbol of spontaneous creation, resurrection, and transformation.  Inscribed on the bale is the Ankh - a symbol of vitality, vigor and good health.  46mm H x 22mm W  Bale opening 4 mm Sterling Silver
